XREAL AURA opens orders with $1,099 launch pricing
XREAL and Google announced AURA’s wider ordering launch on October 28, 2026. Temporary US prices start at $1,099, with first shipments expected in mid-November. Ordering is a new commercial milestone, not confirmation that customer deliveries have begun.
Confirmed facts
Promotional pricing and a future shipment window
XREAL’s company release lists the 12GB/256GB configuration at $1,099 during the launch promotion, against $1,279 regular pricing. The 16GB/512GB version is $1,299 promotional, versus $1,499 regular. The standalone-device offer runs through December 2026 and excludes bundles; local terms apply.
The company names direct ordering and Best Buy in the United States, while forecasting initial shipping in mid-November. That is a stated fulfillment window, not evidence of completed shipments or a guaranteed arrival date.
A regional detail buyers should not overlook
Google explicitly says orders open October 28 in the United States, Canada and Korea, and November 2 in Japan. XREAL’s same-day release groups Japan with the October 28 opening markets. These primary sources disagree; this report retains that discrepancy rather than promising immediate Japanese ordering.
Google describes AURA as transparent wired glasses with a 70-degree field of view, weighing under 95 grams on the face because processing is handled by a connected puck. Setup and a compatible account are required, with an 18-and-over restriction. These are manufacturer descriptions, not HoloNexa measurements.
Software capabilities are not independent test results
Google describes laptop Wired Mirroring, Android XR applications and Gemini assistance across visible content. Its announcement also places a new Google Photos spatial gallery later this year, so that future feature should not be treated as already delivered.
HoloNexa has not tested mirroring compatibility, spatial tracking, visual quality, battery endurance or the assistant’s accuracy. Buyers should check the exact source device, applications, regional service access and delivered configuration. A launch announcement does not establish how well a particular workflow will perform.
Why it matters · Analysis
Opening a wider ordering route changes the purchase decision from reservation eligibility to the complete cost and expected delivery. The temporary discount should be compared with the full setup, including the puck and any accessories a task requires. Separately, a transparent display and a large software catalogue do not prove that long work sessions or every laptop application will be practical. A useful trial would follow one actual task from connection through window placement and interaction. This October 28 event is distinct from the October 7 pass-holder preorder pricing and the October 22 Owlchemy game reveal already covered by HoloNexa.
