Holographic telepresence for events: production checklist
The questions an event team should answer before putting a remote speaker on a spatial stage.

Design the whole connection
A telepresence event is two productions joined by a network: the capture studio and the venue. Assign responsibility for camera, lighting, framing, return audio, connectivity, display operation and speaker rehearsal on both sides.
Build a technical run sheet with primary and backup paths. A successful demo in an empty venue does not guarantee performance once the audience network is busy.
Stage for the optical system
Control spill light, backgrounds and audience angles according to the manufacturer's requirements. Integrate the remote participant into the program rather than presenting the technology as the only story.
Rehearse eye line and conversational delay. Give the remote speaker a clear view of the moderator and audience response where possible.
Decide rent or buy
Rental with an experienced operator is often appropriate for occasional events. Ownership makes more sense when the organization can schedule repeat executive, education or customer programs and maintain a trained team.
Request current specifications and service terms from the manufacturer. Treat every live event as a system with a graceful fallback, not a single device.
