Rokid brings display glasses to Selfridges in London

Rokid has announced a UK retail launch for its camera-and-display glasses, including a permanent demonstration presence at Selfridges London. Its October 30 announcement also details a Travel Set and a one-day October 31 promotion; this is a regional retail event, separate from the new-model display-engine announcement.

Confirmed facts

What the company announced

Rokid says its permanent display operates inside a distributor-run retail space in the Selfridges Tech Bar, on the Lower Ground Floor at 400 Oxford Street. The company also points to its UK website as part of the launch. This report attributes the retail arrangement to Rokid; HoloNexa has not visited the counter.

The release gives the Travel Set a regular price of £699 and a promotional price of £569 for October 31 only. It lists clip-on sunglass lenses, an audio concentrator, charging cable and travel pouch, with a charging case and community merchandise offered with purchase. These are the announcement’s UK terms, not US prices or a permanent reduction.

Before treating retail access as product validation

A demonstration location does not independently establish stock for every configuration, prescription fulfilment, final delivered charges or service availability for a particular account. Buyers should confirm the named set, included items and current retailer terms. The dated promotion should not be assumed to continue after October 31.

This story concerns Rokid Glasses entering a UK retail channel. It does not establish UK availability of Rokid Color or Glasses 2, and it does not transfer specifications between generations. Manufacturer descriptions of translation or everyday comfort are not independent testing by HoloNexa.

Why it matters · Analysis

An in-person counter can help answer questions that a specification table cannot: whether information is legible to the individual wearer, how controls work and whether the intended task is practical. That is useful access rather than evidence that the product will fit everyone. A sensible visit starts with one real task and a list of account, support and return questions. Regional distribution also makes it more important to identify the seller responsible for fulfilment and support. Those details should be assessed separately from a launch-day saving.
