XREAL launches 1 Pro+ at $599 with brighter displays and 60 fps 3D conversion

XREAL introduced 1 Pro+ on October 15, refreshing its wearable-display range with a claimed 1,200-nit peak brightness, AI HDR and on-glasses 60 fps 2D-to-3D conversion. The US store lists the glasses at $599; availability differs by frame size, and 6DoF anchoring requires the separately sold XREAL Eye.

Confirmed facts

A display refresh within the One Pro family

XREAL lists a 57-degree field of view, a 120 Hz display refresh rate and native 3DoF processing through its X1 chip. Its new viewing options include Standard, Movie and Reading modes. The company also describes a redesigned nose pad with a wider contact area. These are manufacturer specifications and design claims, not results of HoloNexa testing.

The 60 fps figure concerns conversion of ordinary content into a depth-enhanced presentation; it should not be confused with the display’s 120 Hz refresh specification. Nor does a conversion feature establish that a source was filmed or rendered as native stereoscopic content.

Price and the purchasing configuration

At verification, the official US store shows $599 and two interpupillary-distance sizes: M for 57–66 mm and L for 66–75 mm. It labels M in stock and gives L a shipping window within two weeks of purchase. Those are dated store statements, not a guarantee that every size is immediately available in every market.

The box list includes a USB-C cable and a prescription insert without lenses. Buyers should check the intended host device and any necessary adapters before ordering. Product photography alone is not enough to establish a complete working setup.

Tracking and the upgrade question

Native 3DoF anchors the screen in a chosen direction. XREAL’s product page separately identifies spatial 6DoF anchoring as requiring XREAL Eye, sold separately. The accessory condition matters when comparing the base price with a complete configuration.

In its official community announcement, XREAL also says 60 fps REAL 3D will reach One, One Pro and 1S through a firmware update next month. That is a future software commitment, not evidence the update is already installed or that every 1 Pro+ feature will transfer to older models.

What still needs independent evaluation

HoloNexa has not measured brightness, conversion quality or comfort. A peak-brightness claim does not describe sustained performance across all content, and AI HDR is not by itself evidence of end-to-end native HDR compatibility.

Analysis: an existing owner should separate promised software improvements from physical changes before deciding to replace working glasses. For a new buyer, fit, host compatibility and the desired tracking mode may be more consequential than the headline brightness number. A useful comparison would hold source content and viewing conditions constant.

Why it matters · Analysis

This launch offers a concrete new purchasing option while also creating an upgrade decision for existing users. Its value depends on which improvements require new hardware, whether the announced firmware arrives, and how the selected size fits. Manufacturer feature lists cannot establish a productivity gain or a comfort advantage for every wearer.
